Tim Berners-Lee published a website in August 1991. Berners-Lee was the first to combine Internet communication (which had been carrying email and the Usenet for decades) with hypertext (which had also been around for decades, but limited to browsing information stored on a single computer, such as interactive CD-ROM design). Websites are written in a markup language called HTML, and early versions of HTML were very basic, only giving websites basic structure (headings and paragraphs), and the ability to link using hypertext. This was new and different from existing forms of communication - users could easily navigate to other pages by following hyperlinks from page to page.

NG Technology - Terms and Conditions
1. NG Technology Obligations
1.1. NG Technology is to design a web project as the above information only and nothing more or less.
1.2. The completion date of the project is pre- agreed with the Customer and is stated above.
1.3. NG Technology is responsible to keep all Customer details confident and on a safe place.
1.4. NG Technology is obligated to help the Customer when help needed 30 days after the completion of the project. After this period additional charges apply.
1.5. Any other art work designed by NG Technology should exercise the same Terms and Conditions.
1.6. NG Technology is not responsible for any hosting problems as third party is being used.
1.7. NG Technology is not responsible for any content and pictures supplied by the Customer.
1.8. NG Technology reserves the right to use sub contractors when needed without Customer’s consent.
2. Customer Obligations
2.1. The Customer is obligated to supply all content and pictures required for the completion of the project.
2.2. Delays of materials supplied by the customer, which lead to a delay of completion of the project, cannot result in a legal action taken against NG Technology.
2.3. The Customer is obligated to make payments on time as stated in 3.1 to 3.6.
3. Payment
3.1. The Customer should pay 30% of the whole amount on signature of agreement and 70% on completion of project.
3.2. All charges are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate.
3.3. In the event that the Customer does not pay to NG Technology the charges as they fall due, NG Technology reserves the right to terminate the hire of the hosting and domain name(s) and take such necessary action to recover sums due.
3.4. The Customer reserves the right to pay hosting either on monthly instalments or annually.
3.5. The domain name should be paid to NG Technology annually, after the first 12 months of purchase by NG Technology. The sum of the domain name is stated by NG Technology only.
3.6. The Customer will receive a payment reminder 7 working days after the charges fall due and payment should be received by NG Technology 7 working days after a reminder have been issued.
4. Duration
4.1. The duration of the agreement is stated above and both parties should comply with it.
4.2. Duration of hosting and domain name(s) after the free period will be written and signed on a separate document by both parties.
4.3. NG Technology is not responsible for any contract duration changes in situations where third party is involved. However NG Technology has the right to claim this from its insurance company and the Customer will be compensated for any losses. However the compensation will not exceed the amount given from the insurance company.
5. Right to Cancel
5.1. The Customer reserves the right to cancel this agreement 7 working days after the agreement has been signed. In this case a penalty fee being 10% of the total amount of the project should be paid to NG Technology within 14 working days. This amount should not be less that £100.
5.2. The Customer reserves the right to cancel hosting services /monthly instalments only/, by giving 3 months notice to NG Technology. If the hosting has been paid annually, the amount paid is not refundable.
5.3. Any amount paid for domain name(s) services is not refundable.
5.4. NG Technology reserves the right to cancel the agreement when payment(s) is overdue and in events of breach of contract by the Customer. In such events legal action against the Customer will be taken to recover any losses for NG Technology.
6. Copyright
6.1. NG Technology is not responsible for any content and pictures supplied by the Customer.
6.2. NG Technology’s work is copyrighted and not either the Customer or any other third party can take it or use it, in any way, without NG Technology’s written agreement. Any work done by NG Technology for the project, which is taken by the Customer, or any other third party, should result is a legal action takes against the Customer and the third party.
